PREMERA FP1 FUSION PRIMER | COMPLETE COATING SYSTEMS

START WITH THE BOND.
BUILD THE PROTECTION.

PREMERA FP1 Fusion Primer expands what is possible with protective coating systems. The single-component sol-gel primer creates a molecular bridge between compatible substrates and coatings — allowing the protective system to be built from the substrate outward.

STEP 01
CREATE THE BOND

PREMERA FP1
Fusion Primer

FP1 functions as a direct-to-substrate or intercoat adhesion primer, creating a molecular bridge between the prepared surface and the coating applied above it.

Single Component • Spray Applied • Clear • Porous + Non-Porous Substrates

STEP 02
BUILD THE COATING SYSTEM

Compatible Non-Water-Based
Coatings

Once FP1 reaches the specified tack stage, compatible non-water-based coatings can be applied within the prescribed overcoat window — including appropriate epoxy and solvent-based coating systems.

Always confirm coating compatibility and follow the applicable manufacturer's installation requirements.

STEP 03
PROTECT THE FINISHED SURFACE

PREMERA T2 MCM
Protective Topcoat

Where specified and compatible with the selected coating system, PREMERA T2 technology can provide the final protective surface — adding durability, UV stability, easy-clean performance and additional environmental protection.

Standard Protective System or Antimicrobial Technology Where Specified
THE FP1 DIFFERENCE

A Molecular Bridge Between Substrate & Coating.

FP1 is engineered to function as an adhesion layer between a substrate and coating — or between two compatible coatings. This allows designers, contractors and owners to approach difficult-to-bond surfaces as part of a complete coating system rather than treating the primer as an isolated product.

DOCUMENTED PVC ADHESION TEST
1,251 PSI
ASTM D4541 Pull-Off Adhesion

One Primer. A Remarkably Broad Range of Surfaces.

FP1 can serve as an adhesion layer across porous and non-porous substrates, creating opportunities to build protective coating systems on surfaces that can otherwise present bonding challenges.

FP1 is designed to provide strong bonding to difficult, low-profile and no-profile surfaces. On properly prepared concrete, the technical data states that grinding or creating a mechanical surface profile is not required to achieve the intended chemical bond when the substrate is clean and free of bond breakers.

SYSTEM APPROACH

FP1 FUSION PRIMER → COMPATIBLE COATING → PREMERA PROTECTIVE TOPCOAT

Build the system for the substrate and operating environment: establish adhesion with FP1, install the specified compatible coating system, and where appropriate complete the assembly with PREMERA protective or antimicrobial surface technology.
