GREASE LOCK
A patented, disposable filter pad and metal frame with a built-in baffle on back. Features unique fire-resistant fiber, delivering exceptional grease filtration efficiency.
Grease Lock is a patented disposable filter pad and metal frame that is used in place of traditional baffle filters. It features a unique heat-resistant fiber, designed to deliver exceptional grease filtration.
GREASE LOCK IS THE FIRST LINE OF DEFENSE
Grease Lock is your first line of defense in reducing risk of flames entering the hood and flue. The patented disposable filter pad and metal frame reduces frequency of hood cleaning, maintenance on the roof, and baffle filter cleaning. It addresses all life stages of grease as it travels through your kitchen exhaust system. Our product is designed to capture and remove a high percentage of the total grease particulate emissions produced during commercial kitchen cooking operations and is constructed of an all-natural, heat-resistant fiber that is sustainable. We have developed the perfect balance between grease filtration and airflow resistance within our Grease Lock product.

HOW IT WORKS
When cooking, grease becomes airborne and travels into your exhaust system via vapors and smoke.
Despite common misconceptions, the primary purpose of traditional vent hood filters is to serve as a flame barrier between the appliances and the grease-laden hood and flue. Most vent hood filters do collect some airborne grease – typically no more than 25% – simply because they are in the airflow path. The rest passes into the hood, flue, fan and rooftop.
BENEFITS OF GREASE LOCK
INCREASES ROOF LIFE
Grease Lock captures the grease before it enters the exhaust system, reducing the grease particles emitting through the rooftop fan. The necessity of rooftop containment systems is virtually eliminated. This can result in cost savings while potentially extending the life of the roof itself.
INCREASES FIRE SAFETY
Grease Lock filters capture the grease before entering the exhaust system. This greatly reduces the contaminants that enter the exhaust hood, duct work, fans and roofs, helping to reduce the risk of a catastrophic fire.
SAVES LABOR
Many commercial kitchens clean their baffle filters nightly or weekly. With Grease Lock filters, the metal baffle filters need to be cleaned only once a month.
COMPOSTABLE & SUSTAINABLE
Grease Lock filters are all natural. The filter media is carbon-neutral and will break down in the landfill along with the internal support frame.
REDUCES HOOD CLEANINGS
Hood and duct cleaning is reduced by nearly 75% of the current cleaning frequency…less frequent cleaning means less inconvenience, labor and expenses. For 24-hour kitchens, it also means fewer business interruptions.
SAVES WATER & CHEMICALS
Reducing the current exhaust/hood cleaning schedule along with reduced baffle filter cleanings greatly reduces the amount of water and chemicals used to maintain a clean system.
